Advice line

The Advice Line is a good starting point if you are thinking about intercountry adoption as an IAC advisor can provide you with clear and accurate information that will assist you to move forward with some confidence and clarity.

IAC's Advice Line is a confidential telephone enquiry line and is staffed by qualified social workers with many years’ experience of intercountry adoption. Anyone calling the line can raise questions, concerns and anxieties in confidence with our advisors. Please note we do not offer a drop in service.

The service is designed primarily for people living in the UK although it is also used by British nationals living overseas who are exploring intercountry adoption.

Typically prospective adopters are seeking to find out:

Talking to an advisor offers the opportunity to explore your own individual situation.
