Coram IAC is able to offer advice to adopted adults whose adoption has an international element and who are seeking their records and/or who wish indirect or direct contact with their birth relatives.

Coram IAC operates a specialist intercountry adoption Advice Line on all aspects of intercountry adoption. The Advice Line is able to offer advice and signposting for adopted adults seeking further information where their adoption has had an international element. There is no charge for this service. The Coram IAC advisors are qualified and experienced Social Work Practitioners and/or Counsellors and the agency adheres to strict codes of conduct with regard to confidentiality and record keeping. Confidentiality will be maintained in all cases except in the event of concerns about a child's welfare, where it cannot be guaranteed.

Enquirers may also wish to know that Coram IAC hosts the International Searchers Group. The group is for any adoptee whose adoption has an international aspect and which supports adoptees who are actively searching for family members as well as adoptees who are searching for themselves.
